Capturing a busy Behind the Scenes

Behind the Scenes (BTS) are great fun and easy to shoot when you understand the formula. The key is to know what your anchors are. They’re primarily made up of your narrative and supported by your B-roll. You just need to know how to work around those two elements.

Narrative could be interviews, which determines what’s being filmed. And knowing how to capture the best B-roll footage

There’s a freedom in capturing behind the scenes footage because you are literally spying a production and you can spy from any angle. It’s an opportunity to give the audience a point of view they wouldn’t normally see: Showing what the director sees; what the talent sees; what the crew sees, and finding a creative way to get behind them.

This is the essence of a good behind the scenes video.
