This was certainly a fun one to make. Beaut.ie approached us to capture a creative a highlight reel for the Beaut.ie Best of Beauty Awards. This was a client and customer event with brands and readers attending, so there was a lot to capture. While we love a short upbeat video we also made them a longer testimonial reel packed with best parts of the night and full of useful information from their staff and the special guests. There was so much happening behind the scenes that we also decided to make a bloopers reel for them. Check it out below!

Challenging Sound Environment

Technically, sound was really complex at the Beaut.ie Best of Beauty Awards. For us, it’s all about being immersive and capturing the feel and vibe of what’s happening. When capturing a testimonial, we want to capture everything that’s going on in the environment as well as everything being said, and on the night, there certainly was a huge amount going on.

Getting the sound right comes down to having quality equipment and knowing how to create a “safe” environment that allows us to focus on the subject while maintaining the atmosphere.
